A Faulty Memory…: Abstract
A Faulty Memory… is a case study by Véronique Goupil and Jean Nollet.
Following checks on computers delivered over the past three weeks, the Computer Service Department of Coop HEC Montréal had discovered a deficiency on one of the two memory banks of the motherboard. Faced with this situation, the service manager wonders what to do to solve the problem. Class discussion can raise several questions about the relationship of Procurement with its suppliers and other business functions, the concept of quality control as well as the evaluation of qualitative and quantitative factors in decision making. Faulty.
