Description

Flying High in the Sky: Abstract

Emirates Airlines is one of the most profitable and fastest growing air carriers in the world. With a fleet of 137 aircraft, Emirates Airlines operates scheduled services to more than 100 destinations in 65 countries across six continents. The airline is number one in the UAE and is also the longest running and most profitable in the region.

The central strategy of Emirates Airlines is to establish itself as a global airline by connecting a myriad of different global destinations with Dubai as the central hub. One of the biggest reasons for this impressive growth is Dubai’s location. Dubai is located in a very strategic position, with roughly 3.5 billion people living within a 4,000-mile radius of the city (roughly an eight-hour flight on today’s modern jetliners). This is more than half of the world’s population. Before any other airline discovered this opportunity, Emirates capitalized on its location and created a hub to connect all these people.
