Absences and Lateness: A Manager’s Headache: Abstract
Maria Villalonga, director of a non-profit organization in Quebec City, meets successively with three employees to discuss their absences and repeated tardiness. The three discussions show that there are very different reasons for these delays (chemotherapy treatment following a diagnosis of cancer; alcoholism; lack of motivation and moonlighting). Villalonga must outline the measures she intends to take deal with each of the three employees.
