Luc Maurice and Groupe Maurice: Fulfilling a Lifelong Dream: Abstract
This case describes the life of an outstanding entrepreneur, Luc Maurice, starting with his childhood and tracing the subsequent development and outcome of his career. Case A takes the form of a personal reflection by the entrepreneur, presenting the story of his life and the lessons he learned at different stages, and evoking the elements underlying his entrepreneurial learning. The start-up and development of his company, Groupe Maurice, is described in Case B.
Teaching objectives
The case study is designed to help explain the belief system and the path of a successful entrepreneur. It shows why and how an entrepreneur decides to take action and to start up and develop a firm.
