Dr. Mohsen Kamalian is a Professor at the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology in Iran. His research interests focus on Seismic Site Effect (Geology and Topography), Seismic Zonation & Microzonation, Linear as well as Nonlinear Wave Propagation Analysis of Porous Media by BEM and FEM, Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction, Seismic Bearing Capacity Analysis by the Stress Characteristic Lines Method. He received his M.Sc. (1991) and Ph.D. (2001) in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Tehran in Iran.
